After you have finished looking at any page on this tour, use the "Next" and "Back" buttons at the top and bottom of each screen sample to move forwards and backwards. The "Up" button will take you to the Minaret Classification page and the "Home" button will take you to the Minaret Corp. home page. Most of the other links on these sample pages don't actually work (it is just a demo, after all). However, all of the links on the sample pages do have the same "help line" support that is in the real product. When you move your mouse over a link, the status line at the bottom of your browser will describe what type of link it is. The following screen sample is one of the ways that you can navigate classification data in Minaret (we call it the "Standard Browser"). We generated this page by inputting the partial classification number "kf" to get to United States law. The software automatically displays the five records preceding your request to provide some context. The record that matches the search term is highlighted in gray. This display style shows all levels of the classification hierarchy and includes links to tables, and references to other places in the database. The top of the display shows the full classification hierarchy of the first record on the page. The string of characters at the end of each record (H E R N B) includes links to display the full hierarchy of that record (this works in the demo); edit that record; display that record; search the Library of Congress bibliographic database for records with that classification number; and to add lo |
